Mission
At The Bridge in Alton, everything we do points to Jesus. The Bridge has a specific mission tied to its name. The Bible teaches that the cross builds a bridge uniting God and man, and Jesus calls us to be bridge-builders uniting families and communities.
Our mission statement is: Connecting People to God’s Indelible Grace.
Indelible ink is ink that never comes out. When we are connected to God, He leaves a mark on our hearts that will never go away. It’s an incredible mark…a mark that says you are accepted and loved, not by what you have done, but by what Jesus has done on your behalf. Once we experience this indelible grace, God fills our hearts with love and gratitude, and He empowers us to make much of Jesus, follow Him, and introduce Him to others.
Who We Are
We are a people belonging to God. (I Peter 2:9)
We exist to declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light. (I Peter 2:9)
We recognize that God is the initiator in salvation and He brought us from death to life. (Ephesians 2:4-10)
