From Natalie Runyon: “One of the first Bible verses I remember memorizing as a child is Joshua 1:9 ‘Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous? Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.’ Personally, I have not felt strong or courageous these past several months. Without going into details, life just seems daunting. This summer, I’m going to work through Jen Wilkin’s study of Joshua. I need to be reminded of how powerfully God worked in the past, and how that same God is still here, still with His people, and still at work today.// I’m opening my home on Monday nights from June through August to any women who want to study along with me. I don’t care how old you are, how young you are, how much, if any, of the Bible you have studied in the past, where you go to church, or anything else. My house will probably never be clean, and we will likely have numerous interruptions from small children, but my prayer is that we can eat together, pray together, learn together, and honestly, find hope together.”
At The Bridge in Alton, everything we do points to Jesus. The Bridge has a specific mission tied to its name. The Bible teaches that the cross builds a bridge uniting God and man, and Jesus calls us to be bridge-builders uniting families and communities.
Our mission statement is: Connecting People to God’s Indelible Grace
